Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and laundry team. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, extensive custodial and industrial cleaning experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, sanitary environment. This leadership role involves overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on excellence in hygiene standards.
Description of duties:
- Supervise and coordinate all cleaning activities within the facility, including general cleaning, sanitation, and specialized industrial cleaning tasks.
- Manage staff schedules, provide training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations related to custodial work, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Oversee inventory control for cleaning supplies, laundry products, and sanitation materials to optimize resource use and reduce waste.
- Ordering and maintaining par levels of housekeeping cleaning supplies, chemicals, paper, laundry supplies, etc.
- Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met or exceeded, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
- Collaborate with management and healthcare staff to develop effective housekeeping protocols that support infection control and resident safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Long term care experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Must have great attendance.
