Long Haul Drivers -Belts trailers, hoppers. Requirements: A minimum of 23 years of age. 2 years of driving experience clean DMV, double endorsements, tanker endorsements. Must be willing to work nights & weekends. Good work ethic good house keeping (Take care of equipment). Self-motivated and positive attitude. Must be willing to stay out 2-3 weeks at a time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload
- Transport a variety of cargo including Belt Trailers, hoppers and other freight types while maintaining cargo integrity
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, ensuring timely pick up and deliveries
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving operations
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with various truck types such as Belt trailers, hopper
- Strong knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices for timely deliveries
- Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Physical ability to handle loading/unloading tasks and perform routine vehicle inspections confidently
