Duties
- Manage patient financial responsibilities by explaining treatment costs, payment options, and insurance benefits clearly and confidently
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, including Diagnosis-Related Group, to ensure accurate billing
- Process dental claims efficiently using (Electronic Dental Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
- Handle Dental collections by following up on unpaid balances and coordinating with patients to resolve outstanding accounts.
- Maintain precise dental records related to billing, coding, and payments while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with dental providers to ensure proper documentation of procedures using appropriate dental terminology and coding standards.
- Assist in training staff on updated billing procedures, coding changes, and insurance policies to optimize revenue cycle management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental coding including dental terminology
- Proven experience in dental or office environments with familiarity in dental billing and collections
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial information clearly to patients.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a Fast-Paced setting
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes and claims submission procedures
- Commitment to staying current with evolving healthcare regulations and coding updates
- Understand dental insurance terminalogy.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
