About the Position
Horizon Management is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an apartment community in Henderson, Nevada.
The Community Manager will be responsible for property operations, resident relations, leasing performance, team leadership, and compliance. This position is ideal for an experienced multifamily professional who enjoys leading a team, building strong resident relationships, and maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities
Property Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the apartment community
- Monitor property appearance, service standards, and resident satisfaction
- Oversee move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, and resident communications
- Respond to resident concerns and ensure timely follow-up
- Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors to address property needs
- Maintain accurate property records and documentation
Leasing & Occupancy
- Support leasing activities and assist with apartment tours when needed
- Monitor leasing activity, occupancy, and traffic
- Follow up on leasing opportunities and help achieve community goals
- Review leasing and resident activity to identify opportunities for improvement
- Support resident retention efforts
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and support onsite team members
- Provide training and ongoing performance feedback
- Promote a professional, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment
- Ensure team members follow company policies and procedures
- Help establish and maintain operational priorities
Financial & Administrative
- Monitor rent collections and outstanding balances
- Assist with property budgets, financial reporting, and expense management
- Maintain accurate lease and property documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers
- Monitor property performance and assist with achieving financial goals
Compliance
- Follow Fair Housing requirements and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
- Maintain appropriate documentation and records
- Promote a safe and professional community environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of multifamily property management experience
- Previous experience managing an apartment community is required
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of leasing and apartment operations
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing requirements
- Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license
- Weekend availability as required by the community
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a community with 200+ units
- Experience with luxury or high-end apartment communities
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, Entrata, or similar platforms
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
- Proven experience improving occupancy, leasing performance, or resident retention
