Duties
- Operate sewing machines efficiently to assemble garments according to design specifications and patterns
- Perform manual fabric cutting with accuracy to ensure proper dimensions and minimal waste
- Construct garments by following detailed sewing instructions and seam construction techniques
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards in production areas to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Handle materials carefully, including fabric, thread, and notions, ensuring proper storage and handling in the warehouse
- Conduct dimensional measurements on finished products to verify size accuracy and quality compliance
- Monitor quality standards throughout production, inspecting seams, stitches, and overall garment construction for consistency
Requirements
- Proven experience in garment sewing, seam construction, and manual cutting techniques
- Proficiency with sewing machines and understanding of various sewing techniques used in manufacturing
- Knowledge of quality standards in production and ability to maintain high craftsmanship levels
- Familiarity with materials handling procedures within a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, patterns, and specifications accurately
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments to ensure safe operation of equipment
- Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
