Role: Structural Engineer

Pay Range: $60/hr to $65/hr

- Use your skills and knowledge to plan, design, and help direct projects by providing innovative and cost-effective solutions that are of the highest quality and to the safest standards. The main purpose of this role is to support the everyday lift planning needs in the Midwest States. Other project engagement that may be required include: heavy lift and rigging; complex heavy haul; site transport; gantry works; jack and slide projects; equipment design; and client liaison.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, manufacturer data, and aerial photographs on equipment, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.
- Attend job walks and site visits to determine project feasibility, assist with the development of plans, and harvest data for the construction of high quality, accurate project plans.
- Prepare lift plans and rigging details using data received from the sales group and lift planning software.
- Prepare reports, calculations, specifications, plans, and project designs. Including but not limited to lifting, transport, and specialty rigging studies.
- Ensure documents comply with all procedures, internal and external. Assuring that the customer requirements are met with the highest regard following best practices and producing work of precision and high quality.
- Coordinate across company departments to make sure projects are performed and executed in line with the project scope and projects plans.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Attend job executions when necessary to confirm project plans are followed and to act as a direct point of contact to support the site supervisors and crew in the completion of projects.
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
