Project Control Manager

Alpha Bravo Construction is a leading commercial construction general contractor committed to delivering high-quality projects through collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Project Control Manager to oversee project performance, cost management, scheduling, and financial controls across our portfolio of commercial construction projects.
This role serves as the critical link between field operations and project management, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company objectives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial construction, understands both field operations and office-side project controls, and can translate jobsite progress into meaningful cost and schedule performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project controls from project award through closeout across multiple commercial construction projects.
- Monitor overall project health, including schedule, cost, productivity, and budget performance.
- Partner with Project Managers to review project progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling software.
- Analyze project costs, identify budget variances, forecast final project costs, and prepare financial performance reports.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits to verify field progress and ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with field operations teams to evaluate production rates, productivity, and cost performance.
- Manage project budgets, subcontractor buyouts, procurement tracking, and change order processes.
- Prepare accurate and timely project performance reports for executive leadership.
- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies to improve project outcomes.
- Promote consistency and best practices in project controls across the organization.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
- Strong hands-on field experience with a thorough understanding of commercial construction operations.
- Proven expertise in project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, scheduling, and project reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate field progress and understand its impact on project cost and schedule.
- Experience managing subcontractor buyouts, procurement, and change orders.
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software, including:
- Procore
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience).
