The Student Services Senior Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for students. The Senior Coordinator provides students with a full range of support and resources throughout their academic journey at National. To support the Dean of Students from a distance to promote uniformity, when possible, between both sites.
- Oversee with the organization and execution of various University ceremonies, special events and engagements (i.e. Club Lunch/Speaker Events/White Coat/Orientation/Graduation/Turkey Bowl).
- Provide assistance with matters relating to the student handbook, code of conduct and professional performance standards.
- Recruit, train and provide direction to student workers (TA’s, Tutors, Mentors etc.)
- Collaborate with the Student Success Coordinator in organizing and implementing student organization activities by registered student groups and club.
- Attend Student Council and other meetings as requested.
- Coordinate exam proctoring for students with documented disabilities as directed by the Dean of Students.
- Support and assist faculty as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Support other departments, collect student’s documents for records and distribute student refund checks.
- Assist with data entry, compiling and analyzing data and statics and preparing detailed summaries and reports as needed.
- Assist with new hire paperwork for student employees, staff, and faculty when requested.
- Provide general assistance and referral guidance to students seeking information about counseling services, insurance, international student advisement and VA benefits, etc.
- Interact with the admissions, registrar, student accounts and financial aid departments relevant to specific student needs.
- Occasional travel required.

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Detail oriented, organized, reliable; a motivated self-starter needing minimal supervision.
- Prior experience in a University setting, advising and/or case management.
- Outgoing and helpful personality, professional in appearance and demeanor.
- Event planning and time management skills, ability to multitask on projects.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty and staff.
- Ability to listen objectively and empathetically.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student’s personal privacy and university business.

- Master’s degree in education or related field.
- Experience in counseling, critical thinking and conflict management.
- Experience working with community resources to assist populations in need.
Budgeted Salary: $53,000.00
