About the Role
J.J. Jardina Co. is a family-owned wholesale produce distributor that has supplied quality produce since 1925. We're hiring dependable Order Pullers to pick, build, and stage customer orders quickly and accurately. If you take pride in moving fast, working hard, and getting orders right, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Pick orders from the cooler using a handheld scan gun, working by priority.
- Build pallets correctly and safely, with heavier boxes on the bottom.
- Stage completed orders in the right spot on the dock and help load when customers are waiting.
- Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) rotation and handle product carefully to protect quality.
- Report any damaged, short, or low-quality product to the office.
- Keep coolers and work areas clean and clear of debris; clean up spills right away.
- Work safely around equipment and other team members at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Forklift and electric pallet jack experience (able to certify).
- Prior warehouse experience (picking, loading, or similar).
- Comfortable working in a cold/refrigerated environment for the full shift.
- Available to work a Sunday–Friday schedule (Saturdays off) with early-morning starts.
- Dependable, fast-moving, and a team player.
Nice to Have
- Experience with scan guns / RF handheld devices.
- Experience in produce or other perishable/cold-storage operations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- On your feet, moving, for the full shift.
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated/cold environment.
Compensation & Schedule
- $17.00 per hour.
- Sunday–Friday (Saturdays off) — weekday shifts 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with Sunday morning coverage.
- Benefits: paid time off (PTO), health insurance, and 401(k).
- Start date: Immediate.
