Private Swim Instructor — South Florida
Coastal Swim & Safety
Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Clients & Lesson Plans Provided
Coastal Swim & Safety is growing, and we’re looking for a confident, dependable, and personable Private Swim Instructor to join our South Florida team.
This is a flexible, part-time opportunity for someone who loves swimming, enjoys working one-on-one with clients, and wants the freedom to teach around their existing schedule — without having to find their own clients or create lesson plans from scratch.
About the Role
As a Coastal Swim & Safety instructor, you’ll provide personalized private swim lessons to children and adults at residential, community, and private pools throughout South Florida.
Coastal Swim & Safety provides the clients and structured swim lesson plans, allowing you to focus on what matters most: teaching, building swimmer confidence, and creating a safe, positive experience in the water.
Our instructors work with swimmers across a range of experience levels, from beginners learning water safety and foundational skills to more experienced swimmers working on technique, confidence, and endurance.
Lessons are scheduled based on your availability and client needs, making this a great opportunity for teachers, college students, coaches, competitive swimmers, fitness professionals, or anyone looking for rewarding and flexible part-time work.
What You’ll Do
- Provide one-on-one and small-group private swim instruction
- Follow CSS-provided lesson plans and instructional guidelines
- Adapt lessons when appropriate based on each swimmer’s progress and abilities
- Teach swimmers of varying ages and skill levels
- Create a positive, encouraging, and safety-focused environment
- Communicate professionally with clients and/or parents
- Track swimmer progress and provide feedback
- Represent Coastal Swim & Safety professionally at client locations
- Follow all CSS safety and instructional standards
