We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II Technician specializing in Radiographic Testing (RT) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform critical inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of manufactured components and assemblies through advanced radiographic techniques. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of quality control and assurance, supporting manufacturing processes across diverse industries. We are willing to cross train in other methods. Pay will be competitive and based on experience. Local Houston area work in field and shops. Must have Industrial Radiography Trainer status
Responsibilities
- Conduct radiographic testing using X-ray or gamma-ray sources to inspect welds, castings, and other critical components for internal flaws or defects.
- Interpret radiographic images accurately, documenting findings with detailed reports aligned with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Maintain rigorous quality control and assurance protocols by performing inspections, visual checks, and data collection during testing procedures.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to review schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical knowledge requirements for proper inspection techniques.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to non-destructive testing procedures and the use of radioactive materials or sources.
Requirements
- Proven experience in non-destructive testing methods, particularly radiographic testing (RT), with Level II certification and RT Trainer card status recognized by relevant industry bodies.
- 3T Status preferred
- Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to non-destructive testing and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams for accurate inspection setups.
- Knowledge of quality inspection techniques, and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform detailed analysis of radiographic images and compile comprehensive reports for quality documentation purposes.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills to detect flaws or irregularities effectively. Duties
- Travel to client facilities within the Houston area performing assigned NDE.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
- Minimum 2+ years of Level II RT experience required.
