The C.W. Courtney Company is a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm that has provided high quality services to the northeast Ohio area since 1903. We are currently seeking a Field Surveying Technician to become a part of our Land Surveying team working in the Northeast Ohio area. This is an entry level position on a field survey crew with opportunities for advancement. Land Surveying experience or a Land Surveying educational background is preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate.
Qualified Candidates shall demonstrate a willingness to learn and take direction, a strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team or on your own. Candidates must enjoy working outdoors. The position requires physical activity such as walking long distances, crouching, lifting, stretching, and standing for long durations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Support for a Survey field crew
- Survey instrument setup and monitoring
- Field Surveying in both Urban and Rural Environments
- Opening of manholes. Measuring, and recording depths of structures.
- Documentation of site conditions.
- Traffic control
