Field Service Representative – Camp Pendleton
Bell is seeking an experienced H-1 Upgrade Avionics Principal Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide technical, maintenance, and operational support for the H-1 aircraft platform (AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom) at MALS-39, MCAS, Camp Pendleton, CA.
The Field Service Representative will serve as a technical liaison between Bell and the USG customer, providing on-site expertise in aircraft avionics, electrical systems, troubleshooting, maintenance, and sustainment.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting H-1 avionics and electrical systems and have a strong understanding of U.S. Marine Corps aviation maintenance practices.
What you’ll be doing as a Field Service Representative:
- Provide on-site technical assistance for AH-1Z and UH-1Y avionics and electrical systems. Also serve as a technical liaison between Bell and U.S. Marine Corps H-1 maintenance personnel. Maintain professional working relationships with military customers, Bell engineering personnel, and other H-1 program stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex aircraft avionics, electrical, communication, navigation, mission, and integrated systems.
- Assist maintainers with fault isolation and resolution of difficult or recurring aircraft discrepancies.
- Provide technical guidance related to aircraft maintenance procedures, publications, drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical data.
- Support aircraft maintenance, modification, inspection, and troubleshooting activities as required.
- Research technical issues and coordinate with Bell engineering, logistics, product support, and other subject-matter experts to develop solutions.
- Identify fleet trends, recurring discrepancies, reliability concerns, and potential product improvements.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate field issues and recommendations to Bell engineering and program leadership.
- Assist with implementation and validation of engineering changes, technical directives, modifications, and retrofit activities.
- Provide informal on-the-job technical training and mentoring to customer maintenance personnel.
- Travel as required to support H-1 aircraft operations, maintenance activities, detachments, exercises, and other program requirements.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring to This Role:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical education or military aviation training preferred.
- 10 years of significant hands-on experience in military aircraft avionics/electrical maintenance with demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex aircraft electrical and avionics discrepancies. Experience troubleshooting aircraft avionics using wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, test equipment, technical data, and fault-isolation procedures.
- Extensive maintenance experience with Bell H-1 (UH-1Y, AH-1Z) military aircraft is preferred.
- Previous U.S. Marine Corps H-1 avionics experience a plus. Former USMC 6324/6391 or equivalent H-1 avionics/electrical maintenance experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR technical publications, Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) procedures, technical directives, maintenance documentation, and aircraft configuration management is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical information to maintainers, engineers, management, and military customers.
- Ability to work independently in a field environment with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Employment is contingent upon the candidate obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Secret security clearance.

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is
$110,000 - $140,000 per year.
