American Traveler is hiring a Rapid Response IR Technologist with neuro interventional experience for a 6-week assignment in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting.

Work in a 5-suite Interventional Radiology lab within a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center

Equipment includes 4 Siemens bi-plane and 1 Siemens single-plane units
-
EMR systems include Meditech and GE Centricity PACS
-
Patient staffing ratio of 2 IR Techs and 1 IR RN per suite

Procedures include neuro interventions (strokes, aneurysms, SAH, DVST) and vascular interventions (GIB, embolizations, gastrostomy tubes, nephrostomy, and more)
-
Alternating shift hours between 7:00 AM–5:30 PM and 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, 4 or 5 x 10-hour shifts

On-call required 1 night per week and 1 rotating weekend per month, with possible holiday coverage

6-week contract

Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital IR Tech experience, with experience required within the last 6 months

ARRT RT(R) and BLS required

Neuro interventional experience (strokes, aneurysms, SAH) required

Expert knowledge of vascular interventional radiology procedures with minimal guidance

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required

License required if applicable

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Perform neuro and vascular interventional procedures including comprehensive stroke interventions, embolizations, nephrostomies, and gastrostomy tube placements

Fast-paced, team-oriented lab environment; self-motivated candidates preferred

First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but rapid response roles are best suited for experienced travelers given the pace and complexity of the unit
