Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our dynamic radiology team. In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality images that assist in accurate diagnosis and patient care. Duties
- Operate MRI scanners with precision, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Perform additional imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry), sonography, and vascular access assessments as needed
- Follow strict equipment safety procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety
- Maintain detailed documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, and technical findings in accordance with medical terminology standards
- Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to store, retrieve, and transmit medical images securely
- Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MRI equipment to ensure continuous optimal performance
- Adhere to patient safety regulations and protocols during all imaging procedures, including basic life support (BLS) readiness
Experience
- Proven experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical setting with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiology practices, and diagnostic radiology standards for accurate image acquisition and interpretation
- Hands-on experience with CT imaging, DEXA scans, sonography techniques, and vascular access procedures is highly desirable
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to diagnostic evaluation and radiology is essential
- Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions safely and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations
- Prior experience working with PACS systems or similar medical imaging software enhances workflow efficiency
