Job Summary
Seeking an energetic firecracker! A small award-winning boutique hospitality company is seeking a dedicated and outgoing Hospitality Team Leader and Personal Assistant to the Founder, to serve in a multi-faceted role to support our guest services operations. This is a player-coach role that combines direct hands-on housekeeping responsibilities with hospitality leadership to ensure there is a team prepared to provide daily housekeeping coverage 7 days a week.
The ideal candidate is passionate about people, has a background in hospitality and thrives in a dynamic environment where socializing and problem-solving go hand-in-hand. You will be the heart of our operations, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and cared for while managing essential day-to-day operational tasks.
Hours: Between 10 am – 2 pm with a weekly schedule that will vary Monday thru Sunday.
Rate of Pay: Starts at $16/hour + gratuity, total effective pay rate typically $20-$24+/hour, uncapped
Initial Assignment
Housekeeping: We provide five-star stays to guests, and it is due to the immaculate cleanliness of the property. Our goal is to continue that. Your first task will be to train and learn our housekeeping routine.
Manage Housekeeping Schedule and Team: After you are trained, you will recruit, train, and lead one or more housekeepers to execute turns when you are not available. You will inspect after every clean to ensure it reflects a 5-star experience and presentation of the property.
Ongoing Deep Clean Management: Manage a list of tasks that must be completed on a rotating basis.
Growth Opportunities
Once the housekeeping routine is a well-oiled machine, there will be opportunities to grow responsibilities in the future with responsibilities such as property maintenance, administration, and guest relations / hosting.
Qualifications
Proven experience in hospitality, boutique inns/hotels, and hotel management.
Due to frequent and sometimes unexpected shifts in the schedule, the candidate must live in close proximity to the Belmont University area / South Nashville area.
Most tasks are required between the hours of 10 am – 2 pm. Must be willing to embrace a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Strong interpersonal skills; genuine enjoyment of socializing and building connections with diverse guests.
Ability to handle practical responsibilities, including supervising repair contractors, housekeepers, and performing light maintenance. Ability to jump in during an emergency and fill in for a housekeeper.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities; handle unexpected issues with calmness and grace. Possess the confidence to work independently.
Knowledge of Nashville tourism sites is a plus but if not, it can be learned quickly.
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or public relations is a plus.
