Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented PARTS DELIVERY DRIVER /INVENTORY ASSISTANT to join our team. This role involves delivering parts to various locations, assisting with warehouse operations, and supporting overall logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, warehouse tasks, and customer service, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent client relations. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles, including manual transmission models, to transport parts to customers and job sites.
- Load and unload parts using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of heavy items.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, organizing stock, and preparing orders for delivery.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by addressing client inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each trip.
- Support route driving activities, including courier services when needed.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving items, and operating equipment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving expertise.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading, inventory management, and equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles with manual transmissions safely and efficiently.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and moving items throughout the workday.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures and safety standards for handling heavy or bulky items.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license or equivalent certification required.
- Experience with route planning and time management to ensure punctual deliveries. This role is vital in maintaining smooth logistics operations while providing excellent service to our customers through safe driving practices and efficient warehouse support.
