We are seeking a Field Service Technician (Roofing & Exterior) to diagnose and complete roofing and exterior repairs while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position performs warranty work, service calls, and repair projects involving roofing systems, siding, gutters, soffit, fascia, flashing, and exterior trim. The ideal candidate is an experienced problem-solver who can identify the root cause of exterior issues, perform quality repairs, communicate professionally with homeowners, and represent the Company with integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to scheduled service calls, warranty requests, and repair appointments.
- Inspect roofing and exterior systems to diagnose leaks, storm damage, installation deficiencies, and other service issues.
- Perform repairs on asphalt shingle roofing systems, flashing, ventilation components, siding, soffit, fascia, exterior trim, gutters, and related building components.
- Complete carpentry repairs involving wood replacement and exterior finishing as needed.
- Conduct water testing and verify repairs have resolved the reported issue.
- Photograph existing conditions, completed repairs, and supporting documentation using company technology.
- Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and repair documentation.
- Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and project status clearly with homeowners and internal team members.
- Identify additional repair needs and communicate opportunities to the appropriate department.
- Safely operate ladders, power tools, hand tools, and other equipment required for exterior repair work.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory in a clean and organized manner.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and manufacturer installation requirements.
- Participate in emergency service or after-hours response when assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of residential roofing or exterior construction experience.
- Demonstrated experience repairing roofing, siding, soffit, fascia, flashing, and exterior trim.
- Ability to diagnose water intrusion and exterior building envelope issues.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple service calls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with warranty and service repair work.
- General carpentry or finish carpentry experience.
- Experience with gutters and exterior drainage systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience using mobile field service software or CRM applications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of residential roofing systems and exterior building components.
- Ability to identify the source of leaks rather than simply repairing visible damage.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Professional demeanor when interacting with homeowners.

- Ability to read work orders, measurements, and repair scopes.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently climb ladders and work on roofs of varying pitches.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Operate power and hand tools safely.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
