Duties
- Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling tailored to each animal’s breed and individual needs
- Handle animals with care using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff
- Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other hygiene procedures to promote overall health
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet care and maintenance
- Manage animal handling during grooming sessions with patience and professionalism, ensuring a calm environment
- Assist with kennel cleaning and other animal care tasks as needed to support overall facility operations
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work areas while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively
- Ability to handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques and animal care practices
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions
