Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation and finishing, ensuring high-quality results in residential and commercial projects. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for drywall installation by measuring, cutting, and hanging drywall sheets.
- Apply joint compound to seams and screw holes, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Sand surfaces to achieve a flawless appearance before painting or texturing.
- Install corner beads and trim as needed for a polished look.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in drywall techniques and finishing methods.
- Experience with tile laying and water damage restoration.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing practices.
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques.
- Background in the restoration industry is advantageous.
- Skills in masonry and trim carpentry are preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints effectively for accurate project execution.
- Competence in frame carpentry to assist with structural tasks when necessary.
