Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Server Food Expeditor to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring that food is prepared, presented, and delivered to guests efficiently and accurately. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the flow of dishes, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and support a seamless dining experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and prior experience in food service environments.
Responsibilities
- Act as the communication hub between kitchen staff and servers to facilitate timely delivery of orders
- Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet presentation standards and quality expectations
- Assist in organizing and prioritizing food orders based on service flow and guest needs
- Verify accuracy of orders before serving, including portion sizes, garnishes, and special requests
- Support food safety protocols by handling dishes with care and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with kitchen personnel to address any issues related to food preparation or presentation
- Help expedite service during busy periods by coordinating efficiently with team members
- Maintain awareness of menu items, ingredients, and dietary restrictions to assist servers effectively
Experience
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
