About the Position
Muslim Nannies is seeking an experienced, proactive Nanny/Family Assistant on behalf of a warm, organized family in Potomac, Maryland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a career nanny who enjoys taking initiative, creating structure, and becoming a trusted partner to busy parents.
The family is seeking someone who naturally anticipates needs, enjoys keeping a household running smoothly, and is committed to providing exceptional care for their three children (10 months, 6 years, and 9 years old).
This position focuses primarily on caring for the family's youngest child during the day while preparing the household for the afternoon before the older children return from school. The role works alongside a part-time afternoon nanny, creating consistency for the children while promoting a healthy work-life balance for both caregivers.
This position is one of two nanny roles within the home, intentionally designed to provide exceptional care for the children while promoting a healthy work-life balance for each caregiver.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
- Guaranteed 40 Hours Per Week
Compensation
$30-$35 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities
Childcare
- Help send off school age kids to school in the morning. Ensure they eat breakfast and are ready for carpool pick up in time.
- Provide loving, attentive care for the family's 10-month-old baby.
- Create engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage learning and exploration.
- Take the baby on neighborhood walks, library story times, playground outings, and other enriching experiences.
- Prepare bottles, meals, and snacks.
- Maintain consistent feeding and nap routines.
- Foster a warm, nurturing environment that supports healthy emotional and developmental growth.
Household Support
The family appreciates someone who enjoys creating order and helping the home run efficiently.
Responsibilities may include:
- Preparing meals for the family
- Packing school lunches
- Grocery shopping and restocking household essentials
- Children's laundry
- Family laundry (as needed)
- Household organization
- Running occasional household errands
- Packing and unpacking children's belongings for family trips
- Maintaining digital household lists and organizational systems
- Light daily tidying related to the children, meal preparation, and shared family spaces

Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional nanny experience
- Extensive infant and toddler experience required
- Experience supporting school-aged children
- Experience working with diverse families, cultures, and parenting styles
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving the family's vehicle for childcare-related responsibilities
- CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain prior to employment)
- Excellent professional references
- Must successfully pass a background check
