Mansfield, TX
$24–$27/hour + Overtime + Growth Opportunities
If you became an engineer because you like solving problems...but hate sitting behind a desk all day...keep reading.
We're looking for someone who's just as comfortable carrying a wrench as they are carrying a notebook.
Someone who asks...
"Why do we do it this way?"
...and then can't sleep until they figure out a better way.
This isn't a traditional engineering job.
And it isn't a traditional production job.
It's somewhere in the middle.
You'll spend part of your day running one of the most technical manufacturing processes in our facility and the other part figuring out how to make it better.
If you're looking for a cubicle...
Wrong place.
If you're looking to make PowerPoints all day...
Definitely the wrong place.
If you want to build things, troubleshoot problems, improve processes, and actually see the results of your work...
Now we're talking.
What You'll Actually Do
- Operate and monitor our electroless nickel plating process
- Work alongside our Chemical Process Technicians to keep baths running at peak performance
- Investigate production issues before they become expensive problems
- Collect data and look for trends
- Participate in testing, process improvements, and new product development
- Help improve work instructions and manufacturing procedures
- Work directly with Production, Quality, Operations, and R&D
- Learn how a highly specialized manufacturing process really works
Some days you'll be troubleshooting pumps.
Some days you'll be helping run production.
Some days you'll be buried in data trying to figure out why something happened.
If every day looks the same...
We're probably doing something wrong.
Who Thrives Here
You probably...
✔ Like figuring out how things work.
✔ Enjoy solving problems other people walk away from.
✔ Don't mind getting your hands dirty.
✔ Ask "why" more than the average person.
✔ Would rather improve a process than complain about it.
✔ Can talk to operators, managers, and engineers without acting like you're smarter than everyone else.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemistry, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Materials Science, or a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Critical thinking skills
- Comfortable using Excel and basic data analysis
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable attendance
- Willingness to learn
Manufacturing experience is great.
Plating experience is even better.
Neither is required if you're hungry to learn.
The Reality Check
You'll spend plenty of time on the production floor.
You'll wear PPE.
You'll work around industrial chemicals.
You'll occasionally leave work dirty.
You'll also leave work knowing you actually solved something.
What You'll Get
$24–27/hour depending on experience
Real opportunities to grow into Engineering, R&D, Process Development, or Operations
Hands-on experience that most engineers don't get until years into their careers
Exposure to specialized manufacturing processes that few people ever learn
Don't Apply If...
❌ You think you're "too good" to work on a production floor.
❌ You want someone else to solve the hard problems.
❌ You'd rather tell people what's wrong than help fix it.
Apply If...
✔ You love solving puzzles.
✔ You enjoy building, improving, and fixing things.
✔ You want to learn a specialized manufacturing process.
✔ You believe the best engineers don't just design processes...
...they understand them.
