Remote | Full-Time | Plaintiff-Side Only | MDL / Mass Tort
Phillips & Associates is a plaintiff-side sexual abuse litigation firm. Rideshare assault, institutional abuse, MDL and JCCP dockets. We represent survivors. We never represent the other side. That is not a policy. It is a conviction.
We are looking for an attorney to join us remotely. We will tell you upfront what we want, because we would rather scare off the wrong person than waste both our time.
WHAT WE ARE ACTUALLY LOOKING FOR
You are smart. Not credentialed-smart — actually smart. You read a room, you read a file, and you figure things out without being told twice.
You have done a lot of different things. Bartended, managed people, fixed things that were broken, dealt with the public when the public was difficult. You have cleaned up other people’s messes and made something out of nothing. That is not a liability on your resume. That is exactly what we are looking for.
You have legal experience — some injury litigation, some exposure to large-scale or coordinated cases, maybe MDL, maybe not. You do not have to have done this exact work before. You have to be the kind of person who can learn it fast and care about it genuinely.
You have not always agreed with the people you worked for. That is fine. What matters is how you handled it — whether you said your piece, made your case, and then got on board when the decision was made. We want people who push back with a reason, not people who comply without thinking or fight without purpose.
You believe the plaintiff deserves the same ferocity the defense brings. If you have ever caught yourself rooting for the corporation, this is not the place.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Work a real docket. Plaintiff-side sexual assault litigation against Uber, Lyft, institutions, and anyone else who failed the people we represent. You will work closely with lead attorneys, handle case development, client communication, and litigation support across MDL and state coordinated proceedings. You will be trusted with real work from day one.
