Bring your compassion, clinical expertise, and commitment to exceptional patient care to AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in a full-time or PRN capacity, with day and night opportunities available.
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll provide individualized, whole-person care while working closely with patients, families, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams. Whether you’re an experienced Registered Nurse or looking for your next opportunity to grow, you’ll be part of a team where your experience and dedication are valued.
What You’ll Do
- As a Registered Nurse, you will conduct comprehensive assessments addressing patients’ physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle needs.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to physician orders and hospital protocols, while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and participation in care.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing – Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing – Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Preferred
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) – Preferred
- Chemotherapy Certification (CHEMO) – Preferred
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient-care responsibilities
- Commitment to safe, compassionate, patient-centered care
