American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for an ICU position at a critical access hospital in Nevada, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS certification.

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
-
Critical access hospital setting with a 23-bed facility
-
ICU unit serving adult patients with diagnoses including COPD, CHF, sepsis, general surgery, and DKA
-
Average patient ratio of 1:2
-
Epic EMR — experience required
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating may be required to Med/Surg and Med/Surg Telemetry units
-
No on-call required
-
Block scheduling availability is determined by unit needs

Local candidates are accepted

Active NV RN license required; pending NV license will be considered

Certifications required: ACLS, BLS
-
CPI certification preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required

Prior charge nurse experience required
-
Telemetry, triage, and ventilator experience required

Conscious sedation experience preferred
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
-
Ventilator management skills required, including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, ETT/NT suctioning
-
Experience with continuous IV sedation, paralytics, vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, and emergency medications
-
Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and CVA/acute stroke
-
Experience with IV insulin protocols, renal failure management, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
-
One supervisor reference dated within the last 18 months required for consideration

A Nursys report (PDF, dated within the last 30 days) is required for consideration
-
Position is a Charge RN role with ICU leadership responsibilities
-
First-time travelers will be considered with strong experience
-
Any color scrubs permitted
-
RTO must be submitted prior to offer and cannot be guaranteed after an offer is extended; no RTO within the first week, and no more than 10 days total

License hits or background hits require facility approval prior to offer; a detailed explanation must be provided
