As a Pilates Mat Instructor, you are responsible for leading safe, effective, and engaging Pilates Mat classes that promote core strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and overall physical wellness. This role involves instructing participants through proper Pilates techniques, movement patterns, breathing exercises, and body alignment while creating a supportive and motivating environment for individuals of all fitness levels. The Pilates Mat Instructor ensures participant safety, provides exercise modifications when needed, and delivers high-quality classes that encourage member participation, confidence, and long-term wellness.

Lead dynamic and engaging group exercise classes for participants of varying fitness levels and abilities.

Instruct and demonstrate proper Pilates Mat techniques, body alignment, breathing patterns, and movement control.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the studio and equipment before and after classes.

Create a welcoming, motivating, and inclusive class environment.

Arrive prepared with organized class plans, music, and equipment setup.

Modify exercises and provide alternative movements based on participant needs and limitations.

Ensure all classes begin and end on schedule.

Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and continuing education requirements.

Build positive relationships with members and promote participation in group fitness programs.

Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Instructor certification (such as ACE, AFAA, NASM, or equivalent) OR Current nationally recognized Pilates Mat Instructor certification required.

High School Diploma or GED required.

CPR/AED and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.

Strong knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, body mechanics, posture, alignment, and movement techniques.

High level of organization and followup discipline

Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment

Passion for fitness, wellness, and personal growth.

Preferred: 1+ years of Instructor experience, a related degree, luxury fitness or hospitality experience, and/or specialty certifications.
Compensation for this role includes - base pay & commission per class. Additional incentive pay eligible based on individual and team performance.
