About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant / Auditor / CPA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong tax, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting expertise, with the ability to work independently and with a team to provide valuable financial insights to support business operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Conduct internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial records and identify discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare tax returns and assist with tax planning strategies.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or on track to obtain CPA license.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 5+ years of accounting and auditing experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Public accounting experience.
- Experience in audit planning and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with diverse industries and business sizes.
