Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to patients, focusing on medical marijuana treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of holistic medicine and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Pay
Hourly pay to be discussed. You keep 65% of the payments made by insurance or private pay as a private practice physician. 35% is paid to administration for billing, staff coordination, and administrative duties. Paid biweekly.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose medical conditions. (Adult and/or Pediatrics)
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments virtually.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Manage chronic diseases and coordinate care for patients with complex health issues.
- Provide follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record, Zanda.
- Educate patients on preventative care, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and practices related to medical marijuana patient care.
- Adhere to standards set by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority or the governing state authority they are providing medical marijuana appointments.
- Legally prescribe necessary medications for each patient's specific conditions. (Pediatric and adults.)
Experience
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in Oklahoma.
- Previous experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical marijuana as medicine.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Zanda, is desirable.
- Prefer registration with OMMA but not required. (We will assist through the process if necessary.)
- Previous experience working with mental health patients preferred. (We are in the same clinic as Family Uncensored Mental Health Services.)
