Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced or inexperienced enthusiastic barista with a love of community, welcoming communication and customer service skills, dependability, a desire to learn the craft of coffee and Pike Road Coffee beverages, and shares Pike Road Coffee’s values.
Responsibilities
- Ability to kindly and efficiently receive, produce, and serve craft coffee, tea, soda, and pastry orders.
- Serving Pike Road Coffee products in an informed and educational manner. We always aim to ensure that our guests feel guided to enjoying their new favorite Pike Road Coffee order.
- Ability to serve Pike Road Coffee products with excellence and urgency.
- Effectively manage time, when to prioritize tasks, and assist your fellow teammates.
- Cash register handling: Includes cash and credit card transactions, recording and balancing daily financial drawer counts/tips.
- Maintaining barista floor, café, patio, and bathroom cleanliness and organization.
- Complete all shift work tasks and responsibilities.
- Fully restocking all necessary inventory for the following shift.
- Complying with food safety regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in Pike Road Coffee’s facility.
Requirements
- Kindly greet and welcome guests.
- Welcoming, educational, and considerate communication skills with guests.
- Considerately and effectively communicate with fellow baristas, GM, Head Roaster, Kitchen Manager, and owners.
- Making yourself available to assist teammates when needed.
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints with kindness.
- Dependability with shift attendance and responsibilities.
- Familiarity and responsibility to food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to carry and lift up to 35 lbs. (Milk jugs, dry good deliveries, ice)
- Reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: $12.00 an hour + tips
