- A daycare teacher is a professional who provides care and education for young children and toddlers while their parents are unavailable
- A daycare teacher is responsible for looking after children and providing them with education at children’s facilities
- A daycare teacher may work in schools or daycare facilities and requires a background in early childhood education
- A daycare teacher should have the following skills and qualifications:Proven experience as a childcare teacher or a similar role
Certificate in first aid and CPR. Previous Childcare Experience required and must be able to verify. Certification in Early Childhood Education or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Must attach to application.
Child care professional (CCP) certification is advantageous. Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods. Patience, flexibility, creativity, and love for children. Strong communication and time management skills.
- A daycare teacher should perform the following duties and responsibilities: Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material.
Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises.
Provide basic care and care giving activities.
Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, games, drawing etc) to enhance the child’s abilities.
Evaluate children’s performance and make sure they are on the right learning track.
Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children.
Observe children’s interactions and promote the spirit of concord. Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action.
Collaborate with other colleagues. Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources.
Provide a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.
Hold regular parent-teacher meetings to address any issues, concerns, or parent complaints.

Pay: $12.50 - $15.50 per hour
