Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Deputy Planning & Engineering Director to join our Transportation Sector. The ideal candidate will work under the general direction of the Program Delivery
Services (PDS) Executive Program Director. This position is responsible for providing support and advice on strategy development, alternative analysis, implementation requirements and guidelines, and other related tasks and activities as may be sanctioned by the client.

Support program leadership in shaping long-term strategic initiatives that influence safety, performance, and operational efficiency

Identify and advocate for the latest innovations in the client's major project, including advancements in technology, materials, and processes, to optimize system performance

Support the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects

Provide cohesive and informed support throughout the program life cycle

Analyze program results and operational data to recommend adjustments that further enhance safety and performance

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or a related field, with at least 12+ years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

A minimum of 4+ years of leadership experience, including managing teams or projects in planning, engineering, or auditing

Extensive experience in overseeing engineering and planning operations, ensuring compliance with established standards

Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams

Strong understanding of environmental regulations, sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure design

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and drive project success

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and develop complex stakeholder relationships
Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant engineering certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar project management credential

Proven experience in managing public sector planning and engineering projects or working with government agencies

Expertise in environmental compliance and sustainability practices in infrastructure development

Strong knowledge of systems integration, network integration, and system certification processes

Familiarity with advanced project management software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project) and engineering design tools
Salary Range: $250,000 to $325,000 per year
Location: Sacramento, CA
Work Environment: Onsite
