Job Summary:
The Heavy Assembler builds and assembles components for final shipment. This role works with limited supervision, follows work instructions, and ensures finished products meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review job orders and instructions
- Lay out and assemble components for final build
- Build and bolt frames
- Attach cores, tanks, fans, and other parts
- Inspect finished products for defects
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work area daily
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 100 lbs (infrequently), 50 lbs (occasionally), 25 lbs (frequently)
- Move up to 300 lbs with assistance
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Work at heights up to 20 feet
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing/assembly shop and storage areas (indoor & outdoor)
- Exposure to fumes, chemicals, machinery, and weather
- Required to wear safety gear (glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots)
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- Basic measuring and assembly skills
- Familiarity with metal materials and tools (on-the-job training provided)
- Strong attention to safety and teamwork
