The Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical property, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and associates. This position performs preventive maintenance, responds to service requests, completes repairs, and supports the overall operation of the hotel by maintaining guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and mechanical systems.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing quality service while working collaboratively with all hotel departments. A team player mentality is necessary.
Essential Job Functions
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on guest rooms, public areas, and hotel equipment.
Inspect building systems and identify maintenance needs before they become operational issues.
Maintain accurate records of completed preventive maintenance tasks.

Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
Ensure all repairs meet company quality and safety standards.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office to prioritize room readiness.
Assist with room inspections and address maintenance deficiencies as needed.
Support hotel operations by assisting with projects, equipment moves, and other maintenance-related tasks.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and applicable building codes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Report safety hazards, equipment failures, and maintenance concerns promptly.
Assist with emergency procedures and respond to maintenance-related emergencies as required.
Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to support daily operations.
Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, vendors, and contractors.
Participate in training and meetings as required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of maintenance, facilities, or hotel engineering experience preferred.

This position requires working throughout all areas of the hotel, including guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor areas. The Engineer may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and cleaning or maintenance chemicals while performing assigned duties.
