The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive pipeline growth by identifying, developing, and qualifying new business opportunities in commercial and high-value residential markets.
In this role, you’ll own the top of the funnel—building relationships, sourcing qualified leads, and setting up enterprise opportunities for our Account Executives to close.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting
-
Identify and target high-potential commercial and premium residential clients.

Execute strategies across direct contact, networking, and referrals.

Qualify prospects and schedule meetings for Account Executives.

Maintain accurate data in CRM and sales tracking systems.

Sales Pipeline Development
-
Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads.

Collaborate closely with Account Executives to align outreach and closing strategies.

Monitor pipeline movement to ensure consistent opportunity flow.

Strategic Relationship Building

Develop relationships with property owners, managers, contractors, and referral partners.

Represent Occidental Roofing professionally in networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.

Market Intelligence

Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights.

Share market feedback to help refine outreach and sales strategies.

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure seamless lead and project handoffs.

Provide regular pipeline updates and activity reports to sales leadership.
Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
OR
-
5+ years of sales or direct marketing experience.

3+ years in enterprise sales or business development.

Proven success generating qualified leads and building pipelines.

Proven track record of closing high-ticket deals and exceeding sales targets.

Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tech tools.

Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

A startup mindset: high energy, adaptability, ownership mentality.
Preferred

Experience in roofing, construction, or home improvement.

Bilingual (Spanish a plus).

Knowledge of the Tucson and Southern Arizona market.
