We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Portion Prep to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and portioning ingredients for our gourmet sandwiches, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare and portion sandwich ingredients, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, and spreads, according to Baggin's recipes and portion control guidelines.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and within safety standards, performing regular quality checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and rotating stock, and reporting any discrepancies or quality issues.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food preparation.
- Participate in training and development to improve skills and knowledge related to food preparation techniques.
- Assist with additional kitchen tasks as required, including cleaning, dishwashing, and other preparation duties.
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
