Olympus Aerospace Tool & Die Division (Trucast, Inc.) specializes in the design and manufacturing of ceramic core dies and wax pattern dies, as well as gages and fixtures for the investment casting and medical implant industries.
A toolmaker is responsible for the manufacturing of these tools, gauges and fixtures.
- Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Develop a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Must understand how to correctly set-up, operate, and clean all machines in shop (CNC may be an exception).
- Take precise measurements for cutting or grinding.
- Monitor the production process and intervene when problems arise.
- Maintains good quality while meeting and production goals.
- Must be able to understand which metrology application to use for in process and final inspections.
- Ability to operate grinders, lathes, honing machine, jig grinder, wire machine, and milling machines.
- Ability to complete simple designed assemblies and subassemblies to print.
- Ability to accurately bench check final assemblies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
