The individual is responsible for helping develop and coordinate activities daily for toddler aged children, cleaning and disinfecting toys, bedding, and classroom before leaving daily, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Changing diapers will be required throughout the day. Individuals must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The individual must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively work with co-teacher, and resolve parental concerns.
This position reports to the Director.
Educational Requirements
- High School diploma required.
Physical Requirements
- Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. Changing diapers throughout the day is required. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
Employment Type
This position is a 12 month position:
8:00am - 1:00pm Monday through Friday
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
