Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Publications Specialist to join our team and elevate our communication efforts through expertly crafted and visually compelling publications. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the creation, editing, and dissemination of various written materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all platforms. Your expertise will help us effectively share our mission, research findings, and key messages with diverse audiences. Duties
- Develop, edit, and proofread a wide range of publications including reports, brochures, newsletters, and digital content using Canva to ensure high-quality standards.
- Communicate thoroughly with Staff and conduct thorough research to gather accurate information that supports publication content.
- Manage document formatting using word processing software to maintain consistency in style and branding.
- Coordinate the publication process from drafting through review, approval, and distribution while adhering to deadlines.
- Must be able to utitlize Google Drive.
- Proofread all materials meticulously to eliminate errors and enhance readability before final release.
Skills
- Must be proficient in Canva for creating detailed diagrams and visual aids that complement written content.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and overall quality.
- Excellent technical writing abilities with a focus on conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting ideas confidently and respectfully.
- Experience with research methods to gather relevant data supporting publication content.
- Skilled in word processing tools such as Microsoft Word or similar platforms for document creation and formatting.
