American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Radiology position at a 123-bed Level III Trauma Center in Burlington, WI, requiring dual CT and X-ray skills with a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience.

Work in a 123-bed Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Burlington, WI
-
Radiology department with 2 CT rooms, 1 X-ray room, and 2 portable X-ray machines
-
This position rotates between CT and X-ray based on departmental needs — dual skills are required
-
Patient population includes inpatient and ED patients; no outpatient cases
-
CT cases include strokes, traumas, abdominal, CTA, angiography, contrast/non-contrast, and vascular studies
-
X-ray cases include fluoroscopy, OR, and general imaging of all body parts (chest, abdomen, extremities, joints)
-
Average of 45 scans per day
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
8-hour evening shifts, Monday–Friday, 2100–0700 (10-hour shifts per scheduling notes)

On-call required 1 in every 7 weekends with a 45-minute call-back response time

Must be available to work 7 days a week and will be scheduled based on greatest departmental need

6-week schedule provided 4 weeks in advance

Epic EMR required; McKesson PACS experience preferred
-
Equipment includes GE and Toshiba CT scanners, Fuji portable and Canon X-ray machines
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute care setting

Dual proficiency in CT and X-ray is required for this position

Active ARRT certification and BLS required
-
Wisconsin state license required if applicable

Epic EMR experience required
-
CT skills required: power injection, CTA, trauma and stroke experience, GE or Toshiba CT experience

CT skills preferred: IV skills
-
X-ray skills required: general X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm and surgical experience, portable X-ray including trauma

X-ray equipment experience: Fuji or Canon preferred

Must be able to work independently without on-site support

Minimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the past year

First-time travelers are considered with 3 or more years of acute care experience

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restrictions apply

Orientation consists of 4 days: an initial meeting with the supervisor followed by hands-on training with X-ray and CT techs

Candidate will work independently during evening/night hours without additional technical support staff on the unit

Supervised by the Imaging Supervisor and Director of Imaging and Cardiovascular Service Line

Holiday coverage is expected (1 holiday)

RTO requests should be submitted to the Director of Imaging and Cardiovascular Service Line

Scrubs of any color are acceptable; camouflage, denim, and hoodies are not permitted
