Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective behavior management strategies and support in daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide one-on-one support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors to ensure accurate tracking of treatment effectiveness.
- Teach social skills, communication techniques, and coping strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the overall development of clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and patient care principles is beneficial.
- Experience in data collection, medical terminology, and maintaining medical records is an asset.
