Our is a licensed Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) dedicated to supporting individuals with mental health and substance use challenges. We provide structured, evidence-based treatment designed to promote recovery, independence, and long-term stability. What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands that recovery looks different for every person. The ideal CPSW is encouraging and approachable while also understanding the importance of accountability, professional boundaries, documentation, teamwork, and consistency.
At Vibe Treatment Center, our CPSWs are an important part of helping clients see that long-term recovery is possible and that they do not have to navigate the process alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer-based recovery support using personal lived experience appropriately and professionally.
- Build supportive, respectful, and recovery-focused relationships with clients.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate peer support and recovery-focused groups.
- Assist clients in identifying personal recovery goals, strengths, barriers, and available resources.
- Encourage client participation and engagement in treatment and recovery activities.
- Help clients develop skills related to self-advocacy, communication, healthy relationships, coping, community integration, and independent living.
- Connect clients with appropriate community resources and recovery supports.
- Provide individual peer support and mentorship as appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with counselors, case managers, clinical staff, residential staff, and program leadership.
- Complete required progress notes, service documentation, and other records accurately and within required timeframes.
- Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and other program activities.
- Immediately report safety concerns, suspected substance use, behavioral concerns, or other significant client issues to appropriate staff.
- Support a positive, respectful, safe, and recovery-oriented treatment environment.
- Perform other duties related to client support and program operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) certification or ability to meet the certification requirements established by the State of New Mexico.
- Personal lived experience with behavioral health and/or substance use recovery and the ability to use that experience appropriately to support others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to complete timely and accurate client documentation.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, community support, recovery services, or peer support.
- Experience facilitating groups.
- Knowledge of community resources available in Albuquerque and surrounding areas.
- Experience working with individuals participating in outpatient or intensive outpatient treatment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if transportation duties are assigned.
Supervision:
- CSWs must work under the supervision of:
- A Program Supervisor with a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, four (4) years of relevant experience (including one year supervisory), plus 20 hours of CCSS-related training.
- A Clinical Supervisor who is a licensed independent behavioral health practitioner (LISW, LPCC, LMFT, Psychologist, CNS, etc.) with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
