Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed
- Implement proper sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met across all areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other janitorial tools safely and effectively
- Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
- Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture or large items
- Maintain cleanliness of surfaces, floors, bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas in accordance with established protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Follow all cleaning and sanitation procedures diligently to uphold health standards in residential or commercial settings
- Manage time efficiently to complete daily tasks within designated schedules while maintaining quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial or janitorial roles with a focus on sanitation and floor care
- Strong knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions when required
- Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving large items safely
- Effective client communication skills to understand expectations and deliver outstanding service
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday
- Experience with carpet cleaning techniques and floor maintenance methods
- Familiarity with cleaning surfaces such as glass, tile, wood, and upholstery using appropriate methods
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, and chemical use
