Job Summary
All candidates must be comfortable working in the Skid Row Community. We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential painting, with the ability to work on various projects including fixture installation and dry wall and plastering. This role requires a keen eye for detail. The Painter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Install fixtures and perform concrete finishing tasks as required.
- Utilize hand tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting.
- Familiarity with fixture installation techniques and dry wall is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools relevant to painting and construction tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- A maintenance person background or experience in construction painting is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
