De Mi Alma is looking for a compassionate Comprehensive Community Support Services worker. The Comprehensive Community Support Specialist (CCSS) at Casa De Mi Alma plays a vital role in providing comprehensive support and guidance to Las Cruces Public Schools and clients of the agency. This position involves leading group/family sessions, facilitating individual sessions, coordinating activities, maintaining records, aligning with the therapist on specific treatment goals, implementing coping/life skills, collaborating with community members to include school staff, and contributing to the overall mission of Casa De Mi Alma.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Group Facilitation: Plan, lead, and run group sessions to foster community and personal development among clients/students.
2. One-on-One Sessions: Provide weekly one-on-one sessions with clients/students to offer personalized support and guidance.
3. Mission Connection: Maintain alignment with Casa De Mi Alma’s mission and values, keeping clients connected and engaged.
4. Record-Keeping: Log detailed notes and activities in the Therapy Notes system to track client progress and maintain accurate records.
5. Activity Coordination: organizing community at large vistis and other activities for clients ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
6. Resource Assistance: Collaborate with the treatment team to help guests attain necessary resources and support their recovery journey.
7. Team Collaboration: Participate in treatment team meetings to discuss client progress, challenges, and treatment plan adjustments.
8. Behavior Management: Conduct and report redirects as needed to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
9. Time Management: Maintaining client schedule and conducting timely services.
10. Incident Management: Prepare violation reports and mediation requests, documenting incidents and ensuring fair resolutions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, or related field preferred.
- Must meet requirements for CCSS worker under New Mexico Medicaid requirements and be a Certified CCSS worker/or be willing to get certified
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in educational or therapeutic settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to different environments.
- Must pass background checks and have reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with school systems and and in individual care
- Proficient in technology and computer skills
