Job Description: Account Manager
1 IN-PERSON TEAM MEETING IN LOUISVILLE, KY PER MONTH; YOU MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN 60 MILES OF LOUISVILLE, KY.
The account manager (with a focus as a budget and admin specialist (disability support)) is responsible for the overall management of a caseload of clients, assigned to them by their supervisor at Kept, Inc. Caseloads can vary by funding sources, disability types, age, and living circumstances. As a budget and admin specialist (disability support), are primarily responsible for following SSA POMS regarding the requirements of an organizational representative payee. They are also responsible for abiding by Medicaid and DCBS financial requirements for state-level benefits to continue (i.e., Medicaid waiver programs & state supplement funds). The specialist ensures that the finances of each person served on their caseload are used to meet their current needs and have considered their near-future needs when deciding how to spend the money in Kept’s care.
Experience Required:
- Professional experience: 2+ years experience in finance and/or account management, ideally operating as a budget and admin specialist (disability support), with at least a GED or associate degree.
- Industry knowledge: Thorough knowledge of community-based services/supports, community resources and funding sources, quality of services, and social and health intervention techniques is preferred.
- Collaboration skills: Preferred ability to facilitate the cooperation of individuals served, their families, service providers, paid staff, and volunteers and stimulate the cooperation of community agencies or individuals.
- Communication & technology: Possess the ability to speak, write, and problem-solve and the ability to maintain records in a clear and concise manner. Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks, be computer literate, possess a required valid state driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Mission alignment: Ability to understand and commit to the Kept, Inc. mission and values.
The responsibilities of the budget and admin specialist (disability support) are:
- Financial management: Build customized monthly budgets, track diverse income types, maintain precise bill boxes, and prioritize core living expenses including housing, utilities, food, and medical healthcare [1].
- Regulatory compliance: Document client assets, submit necessary monthly wage reports to the SSA, track asset accumulations, and oversee comprehensive mandatory casework files to guarantee full program alignment [1].
- Benefit administration: Coordinate annual Medicaid, DCBS, and housing recertifications while preparing and submitting critical financial applications such as LIHEAP to secure individual program eligibility [1].
- Client advocacy: Perform routine 30-day wellness check-ins, monitor overall client health or hygiene, screen for signs of abuse or financial exploitation, and complete personal asset purchases under direct guidance [1].
- Administrative operations: Respond to care team communication within 1 business day, process mail records within 24 hours, and actively participate in team meetings to satisfy Pay for Performance metrics [1].

Pay: $32,240.00 - $38,240.00 per year
