Job Summary
We are looking for a full time cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents while following food safety and dietary regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to planned menus.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Ordering, storing, and rotating food supplies.
- Working with staff and caregivers to meet residents' nutritional needs.
- Following local health department regulations.
- Collaborate with cooks to provide timely meal service and high-quality food presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies.
- Follow all food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
Requirements
- Requirement to have your Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) Certification, or obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Past culinary experience is a must.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling standards.
- Ability to cook for 20-25 residents/staff.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of resident aides.
- A passion for cooking.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift, bend, and squat as required in the kitchen environment.
