Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinical and administrative support within a medical setting. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient clinic, particularly in a fast-paced environment such as a Level I or Level II Trauma Center. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals, managing patient interactions, and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor procedures.
- Provide medical administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance verifications.
- Assist in X-Ray procedures and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment to promote patient safety and comfort.
- Support dermatology procedures by preparing necessary equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers in emergency medicine situations to provide timely care to patients.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health record systems.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic or trauma center is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, especially related to dermatology and emergency medicine.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic clinical procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and team members.
CAOHC certification a plus

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
