ELD Curriculum CoachTitle 3 grant contingent on funding Marthas Vineyard Public SchoolsSchool Year 20262027 Position SummaryThe ELD Curriculum Coach provides job-embedded, non-evaluative instructional coaching to support successful implementation of Marthas Vineyard Public Schools adopted English language development curricula: Cengage (National Geographic) Trailblazer (K4), Impact (grades 58), and Lift (grades 912). The coach partners with the ELL Director, school leaders, and ESL educators to build curriculum literacy; strengthen implementation of the Massachusetts Next Generation ESL Standards; and increase multilingual learners access to systematic, explicit, sustained, and rigorous English language development instruction.This districtwide implementation-support position includes approximately 433 annual hours, averaging 1011 hours per week across a 40-week school year. Instructional support will be delivered through a hybrid model that includes both virtual and in-person coaching, collaborative planning, classroom observation, modeling, and professional learning. Employment Term: September 1, 2026June 30, 2027.Supervision and collaborationThe ELD Curriculum Coach reports to the ELL Director and works closely with ESL teachers, principals, classroom/content teachers, special educators,and curriculum leaders.Key responsibilities: **Provide biweekly, a non-evaluative coaching to 13 ESL teachers through classroom observation, co-planning, modeling, feedback, and reflection.**Support teachers in implementing the Trailblazer, Impact, and Lift ELD curricula with fidelity while responding to student needs** Model effective ELD instructional routines, scaffolds, language objectives, academic discourse, and formative assessment practices**Conduct non-evaluative walkthroughs, model lessons, co-teaching, and push-in support as needed**Co-facilitate professional learning, curriculum launch sessions, unit planning, instructional rehearsal, student-work analysis, and reflection**Support K-4, grades 5-8, and high school ESL teacher planning, including weekly Lift co-planning at the high school**Develop practical planning tools, model lessons, templates, and curriculum-aligned resources**Facilitate collaborative planning and professoional learning communities across schools and grade spans**Support teams in using student work, formative assessments, ACCESS/Alternate ACCESS data, and classroom evidence to improve instruction**Collaborate with ESL, general education, and special education staff to strengthen inclusive instruction for multilingual learners, including English learners with disabilities**Maintian confidential coaching records and help identify districtwide trends, needs, and next steps for curriculum implementation
