The On-Call Banquet Server is responsible for providing professional, attentive, and efficient food and beverage service during meetings, conferences, weddings, receptions, and other special events. This position works on an as-needed basis according to business and event needs and plays an important role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to guests during banquet events.

Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and understand event details, timing, menu selections, service expectations, and special requests.

Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to event specifications.

Set tables with linens, china, glassware, silverware, and other required items.

Serve food and beverages according to established service standards and event timelines.

Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings to respond accurately to guest questions.

Monitor assigned tables and anticipate guest needs throughout the event.

Clear tables and refresh beverages promptly while maintaining a clean and organized event space.

Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown when applicable.

Follow responsible alcohol service procedures and all applicable laws and hotel policies when serving alcoholic beverages.

Communicate effectively with Banquet Captains, Culinary, Stewarding, and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.

Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, service stations, and backofhouse areas.

Handle hotel equipment, china, glassware, and supplies carefully to prevent damage or loss.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, safety, and security procedures.

Participate in preshift meetings and follow instructions provided by banquet leadership.

Maintain professional grooming, uniform, and appearance standards.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
